Number of People

You may have from 1 to 4 people in your Holiday Portrait. This means that you can choose to have a portrait created of just your child(ren), select family members (i.e. just Grandparents and child) or you can do your whole family. Even your dog can get in on the act! (We've shot several families with dogs and most of the time it works....) Just note that our backdrop can't hold more than 4 fully grown people. So we can cover 2 adults and up to 4 small children, but no more than 4 adults may be in the portrait.

Studio Portrait Background

We shoot all Holiday Portraits in our photography studio on a solid white background. We find that your holiday clothes and simple holiday props (which we provide, see below) are best suited to a plain white background. When you put a portrait into a holiday card, you don't want too much going on in the photo. This way when you look at the portrait you see happy, smiling faces, not some distracting background. Holiday Props

We provide several holiday props for kids ages 6 months and up. Stuffed animals, Santa hats, big holiday ornaments, pillows (for those really little ones who can't sit up yet!). But you can always bring any props/toys you want to have included in the portrait. But please only bring personal items you're 100% willing to have in the final portrait. Because there's nothing worse than taking a favorite toy away from a child and then trying to get him/her to look happy for a photo!!)

Photo Resolution & Photo CD Info

All photos taken are a high resolution JPG file (around 2800x1900, from which you can make up to a 20 x 30" poster!). (With the Photo CD you can upload to photo websites (like Snapfish or Kodak) or get prints made at any hour photo place (like Walgreens or Publix). You can create smaller versions of these JPG files if you'd like to email your photos or make online avatars (icons).
We can either burn the CD for you at the end of the session while you wait, or if you prefer not waiting, we can burn it after you leave and you can arrange to pick it up or we can ship it directly to you (no charge).
